PERIODONTITIS, more commonly known as the gum disease or pyorrhea is caused by plaque and tartar that accumulates between the teeth and the gums.  It affects the periodontium, the tissue holding the teeth in its place, in such a way that very few people are aware of the progress of the disease, because of which it is also referred to as a SILENT KILLER..!!!

This disease affects the teeth in such a way that, you will only realize when the teeth become mobile or in a state where it cannot be saved. To start with you might have little bit bleeding while brushing or red swollen gums. If it’s treated at this stage health of the gums can be regained totally. As the disease progresses, the possibility of saving the tooth starts decreasing. Infact, the earlier the treatment better is the result.
