Dental Implant Cost in Hyderabad: Know Tooth Replacement Cost in 2026?

A dental implant is probably the closest natural replacement we currently have for a missing tooth. But when we say “an implant”, we are not talking about just one part. A complete dental implant has three components: Implant screw + Abutment + Crown. Knowing this is important, because it is also one of the reasons implant prices can seem so varied.

As of 2026, the cost of replacing one tooth with a dental implant in Hyderabad can vary broadly from around ₹24,000 to ₹80,000 or more, depending on the implant brand, crown, bone condition and, importantly, what is actually included in the quotation.

At FMS Dental, we prefer to give patients the complete picture from the beginning rather than quote only the implant screw and add the rest later. A complete single-tooth implant at FMS Dental generally works out to approximately ₹34,000 to ₹80,000, including the implant, connector and final tooth, depending on the implant system and crown selected.

The implant fixture itself generally ranges from ₹24,000–₹58,000+, the abutment or connector from ₹5,000–₹7,000, and the final crown from ₹10,000–₹15,000. These component ranges do not always combine at their individual minimums because the implant, abutment and crown must be selected as a compatible treatment combination. Single-piece basal implants may be priced differently because the implant and abutment are manufactured as one unit. The cost may also increase if the site needs a bone graft, sinus lift, temporary front tooth or sedation.

The choice of implant system depends on factors such as the bone condition, aesthetics, overall treatment plan and general health. Your implant team will assess the case and explain which implant system is suitable and why.

This is one reason implant quotations can be confusing. One clinic may quote only the implant, while another may be giving you the cost of the complete tooth. So, if you see an advertisement saying “implant for ₹20,000”, it is worth checking what that ₹20,000 actually covers.

What Every Patient Should Check

This is the one thing we always tell a patient: Make sure you are comparing the same treatment. A quote saying “implant ₹20,000” may only be referring to the implant screw. It may not include the connector, crown, scan, grafting or any additional procedure that may be required.

What Are You Actually Paying for in a Single Dental Implant?

As we said earlier, a complete implant tooth has three main parts.

The implant

This is the part that goes inside the jawbone and replaces the root of the missing tooth. Most dental implants are made from medical-grade titanium, and selected systems may use zirconia. These materials are chosen for their biocompatibility with the body.

At FMS Dental, the implant fixture itself currently ranges from approximately:

  • ₹24,000 An economy/budget implant system
  • ₹36,000 A standard implant system like Alpha Bio (Israel) / Osstem (South Korea)
  • ₹55,000–₹58,000+ Premium international implant systems such as Nobel Biocare or Straumann

The abutment

Once the implant has healed, we need a small connector between the implant and the visible tooth. This is called the abutment. At FMS Dental, this generally costs around ₹5,000–₹7,000, depending on the implant system and the type of abutment required, such as a zirconia, angled or multi-unit abutment.

The final tooth

The visible tooth placed over the implant is the crown. Depending on whether a PFM, zirconia or a more aesthetic ceramic option is selected, the cost can generally be around ₹10,000–₹15,000.

FMS DENTAL · IMPLANT COST GUIDE

WHAT AFFECTS THE COST OF THE TREATMENT?

Why Can One Implant Cost ₹40,000 and Another Cost ₹80,000?

The cost of a dental implant can vary for several reasons. Where you are having the treatment, the experience of the implant dentist, the implant system being used, the condition of your bone and the type of final crown can all make a difference.

Lower-cost or lesser-known implant systems are also available. That does not automatically mean they are poor implants, but before choosing one, it is worth knowing which implant system is being used, how well established it is and whether replacement components will remain easily available in the future, especially if you are travelling or working abroad.

And then there is the patient factor.

Two people may both need one implant, but one may have excellent bone while the other may need grafting, a sinus lift, an aesthetic temporary tooth or more advanced planning. So the final cost is not decided by the implant alone.

The implant brand factor

An implant is designed to remain inside the jawbone for many years.

The quality of the implant material, surface treatment, implant design, global traceability and availability of replacement components can all matter. At FMS Dental, we work with different implant systems at different price points, including GenXT, Osstem, Alpha Bio, Nobel Biocare and Straumann. Premium international systems generally cost more and may be supported by longer clinical research, wider international use and a broader range of restorative components. Well-established mid-range systems can also be a very good, cost-effective choice for many straightforward cases.

NOTE: The most expensive implant is not an automatic lifetime guarantee of success. Planning, placement, the condition of the bone and gums, and the final restoration are equally important. We also prefer implant systems that are traceable and have components that can be sourced in the future.

The bone

For an implant to heal well, it needs enough healthy bone around it and good initial stability when it is placed. In simple terms, the implant should feel firm in the bone while the surrounding bone gradually heals and fuses around it.

If the bone is too thin or there is not enough height, we may need to add bone graft material around the implant to give it better support. That will add to the overall cost.

Depending on the technique, material and amount of bone graft required, the cost can be around ₹12,000–₹16,000 per tooth region. If there is not enough bone height to hold the implant, especially in the upper molar tooth region, a sinus lift may sometimes be needed.

  • Indirect sinus lift: around ₹30,000.
  • Direct sinus lift: around ₹50,000–₹60,000.

Again, this is not part of every implant treatment.

Aesthetics

Replacing a front tooth is not only about putting a tooth back. It has to look natural when the patient smiles. That means we may need to pay much more attention to:

  • The position of the implant
  • The gum level
  • The colour of the tooth
  • The shape of the crown
  • The type of abutment
  • The amount of bone and gum tissue
  • The temporary tooth during healing

Sometimes additional gum or bone management is required to create a natural-looking result.

A front tooth may also need a CAD-CAM temporary tooth during the healing period so the patient does not have to walk around with a visible gap. For highly aesthetic cases, a zirconia or customised abutment and a more natural-looking layered or high-translucency ceramic layering may also increase the cost.

The crown material

The crown is the part everybody actually sees… and the part used for chewing every day. A less expensive PFM crown can work well in many situations. A zirconia and/or E-max crown costs more but offers excellent strength and avoids the metal layer present in a PFM crown. In the front teeth, more aesthetic zirconia or ceramic work may sometimes be recommended to better match the surrounding natural teeth.

Guided surgery and digital planning

Before placing an implant, we need to know exactly what lies underneath the gum. A 3D CBCT scan allows us to see the height and width of the bone, the position of important nerves, the sinus and the safest position for the implant.

For selected cases, we may also use computer-guided implant placement. A surgical guide is digitally planned and manufactured to help transfer the planned implant position accurately into the mouth. Guided surgery can sometimes be combined with a flapless approach.

In suitable patients, a flapless approach avoids raising a larger gum flap and may mean less surgical trauma, less discomfort and an easier early recovery after surgery. It is not suitable or necessary for every implant case.

What Is Normally Included in the Implant Placement Cost at FMS Dental?

For a straightforward implant case, the implant placement charge includes the implant fixture itself along with the surgical placement, local anaesthesia and the routine sterile materials and consumables required for the procedure.

What may be charged separately, if required, includes:

Normally included in the placement charge

  • Implant fixture itself
  • Surgical placement
  • Local anaesthesia
  • Routine sterile materials and consumables required for the procedure

May be charged separately, if required

  • CBCT and digital planning
  • Bone grafting
  • Sinus lift
  • Surgical guide
  • Special temporary teeth
  • Gum grafting or additional aesthetic procedures
  • Conscious sedation or general anaesthesia

Before treatment begins, we prefer to give the patient a written, itemised treatment estimate so that it is clear what is included and what is not.

Cost Breakdown

TreatmentApproximate FMS Dental 2026 cost
Implant fixture₹24,000–₹58,000+
Abutment₹5,000–₹7,000+
Crown₹10,000–₹15,000
Small bone graft, if requiredAround ₹12,000–₹16,000+
Indirect sinus lift, if requiredFrom around ₹30,000
Direct sinus lift, if requiredAround ₹50,000–₹60,000

A note on the totals: The lowest individual implant fixture, abutment and crown prices do not necessarily combine into the lowest complete-treatment price. Components must be compatible with the implant system selected and the final package depends on the clinical plan.

What Can a Single Implant Actually Cost? Two Simple Examples

Price ranges are useful, but sometimes an example makes the numbers easier to understand. The following are illustrative examples based on real cases treated at FMS Dental based on 2026 fee ranges. Final treatment costs depend on the examination, scan and treatment plan.

Example 01

A Straightforward Single Implant

Imagine a patient who has one missing back tooth, healthy gum tissue and enough bone, so no grafting is required.

TreatmentApproximate Cost
Standard implant system, such as Alpha Bio or Osstem₹36,000
Abutment / connector₹5,000
PFM crown₹10,000
CBCT – one jaw₹2,000
Estimated total ₹53,000

The implant placement, local anaesthesia and routine surgical materials are by default included in the implant placement charge. In a case like this, there are no additional bone procedures, so the treatment stays relatively close to the basic cost of the implant, connector and final tooth.

Example 02

A Single Implant With Bone Grafting

A patient living in the USA came to us with a mobile tooth affected by gum disease. Because some bone had already been lost and the remaining bone was soft, NobelActive® S TiUnite® NP 4.3 x 15mm implant, along with bone and gum management to improve support around the new tooth. Because the patient lived abroad, the treatment was also planned around the time available in India and the follow-up after returning home.

This is a good example of why two single-tooth implants can have very different costs: the condition of the bone and gums can change the treatment plan significantly.

TreatmentApproximate Cost
CBCT – one jaw₹2,000
Atraumatic extraction₹5,000
Bone graft + soft tissue grafting₹25,000
Premium implant – Nobel Active S TiUnite₹58,000
Abutment / connector₹7,000
Zirconia crown₹15,000
Estimated total ₹1,12,000

The implant itself has not suddenly become more expensive. The difference comes from the additional procedure needed because of the patient’s bone condition.

These two examples show why two people replacing the same number of teeth can receive different quotations. One may need only an implant, abutment and crown, while another may need grafting, a sinus procedure or additional aesthetic treatments.

A Simple Way to Compare Implant Quotations

If you are comparing prices between clinics in Hyderabad, do not compare only the number written next to “implant”. Ask for the complete cost of the finished tooth.

A good quotation should tell you:

  • The implant brand and system
  • Cost of the implant fixture
  • Cost of the abutment
  • Type and cost of the crown
  • Whether CBCT is included
  • Whether bone grafting is required
  • Whether temporary teeth are included
  • Whether a surgical guide is required
  • What anaesthesia is included
  • Follow-up and maintenance charges
  • What happens if an additional procedure becomes necessary

Once these are clear, comparing prices becomes much easier.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR OPTIONS

Is a Single Implant Worth the Cost Compared With a Bridge?

An implant is not the only way to replace one missing tooth. A dental bridge can also replace the tooth. The main difference is how the bridge gets its support. To replace one missing tooth with a conventional bridge, we normally need to grind the two neighbouring teeth and place crowns on them. So one missing tooth becomes a three-unit bridge.

Depending on the crown material, three crowns can cost roughly ₹30,000–₹45,000. That can bring the price surprisingly close to an entry-level implant. The biggest advantage of an implant is that the neighbouring healthy teeth usually do not need to be cut down.

When those teeth are completely healthy, we generally prefer to preserve them whenever possible.

But that does not mean a bridge is always the wrong treatment. If the teeth on either side already have large fillings, have undergone root-canal treatment, or already need crowns, a bridge may sometimes be a sensible option.

EXPERIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

FMS Dental – Implant Care Since 1999

FMS Dental has been placing implants since 1999, treating cases from single-tooth replacements to complex full-mouth rehabilitation. The FMS Dental Centre for Implant Excellence is supported by digital planning technology, multiple dental specialists and an in-house CAD-CAM laboratory, DentCrafts, so planning, surgery and the final tooth can be coordinated under one roof. We also work with established implant systems including Nobel Biocare, Straumann, Alpha Bio and Osstem, allowing the implant choice to be matched to the bone, tooth position, restorative needs and budget rather than using the same system for every patient.

SPECIALIST-LED PLANNING

Who plans dental implant treatment at FMS Dental?

FMS Dental’s implant programme is led by Dr. Shailaja Reddy, Chief Implantologist, with a multidisciplinary team that includes oral and maxillofacial surgeons, prosthodontists and periodontists. Implant planning considers both the placement of the implant and the design of the final tooth.

For patients comparing dental implant costs in Hyderabad, the consultation is an opportunity to understand which implant system and crown are recommended, why they suit the case, and whether any additional procedures are necessary. Ask for these details alongside the written treatment estimate.

INTERNATIONAL PATIENTS

Dental Implant Costs in India Compared With Other Countries

For patients living abroad, the difference in implant cost can also be significant. A complete dental implant at FMS Dental, without grafting is typically around ₹34,000–₹80,000, while published private-treatment prices abroad are often higher – for example, around US$3,000–$6,000 in the USA and £1,800–£3,800 in the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions About Single Dental Implant Costs

Find clear answers to common questions about implant pricing, crowns, maintenance, payment options and treatment planning.

Does a single dental implant price include the final crown?

Not every quotation includes the final crown. An implant-placement price and the complete cost of replacing a tooth can cover different services. Ask whether the quoted amount includes implant placement, the abutment and the final crown, and whether scans or additional procedures are charged separately.

Is tooth extraction included in the dental implant cost?

If the tooth still needs to be removed, ask whether extraction is included in your estimate. Also confirm whether any treatment needed to prepare the extraction site is included or quoted separately.

Are there maintenance costs after dental implant treatment?

Implants need ongoing cleaning and professional review. Ask about follow-up appointments, professional cleaning and any future charges for repairing or replacing the crown or other components. A treatment estimate should distinguish the initial treatment cost from possible longer-term maintenance expenses.

Can dental implant treatment be paid for in instalments?

Ask FMS Dental about the payment and financing options currently available for your treatment plan. Before choosing a finance option, confirm the down payment, repayment period, interest, processing charges and total payable amount. Availability and approval depend on the applicable terms.

Does an implant warranty cover the entire treatment?

Ask for the written terms. Coverage for the implant fixture, abutment and crown may differ. Confirm the duration, exclusions, maintenance requirements and whether any additional clinical procedures would be charged separately.

Is full-mouth dental implant cost calculated by multiplying the single-tooth price?

A full-arch restoration can use several implants to support a connected set of teeth. Its cost therefore needs a separate treatment plan rather than a simple multiplication of the single-tooth price. Confirm whether a quotation covers one arch or both jaws and whether it includes temporary and final teeth.
